Kinja'd!!!

Check out what I bought for my wife last week: a Springfield EMP 9mm. We tested out a couple 9's the week before and she loved this one. Of course it's the most expensive one we shot haha. We put around 350 rounds through it Friday. We had some light strikes at the beginning, but they seemed to stop happening later, so I'm guessing it just needed to be broken in. Either way, I plan on putting a couple hundred more through it before calling Springfield. But man it is accurate, and easy as hell to shoot. And I love how it looks.

Absolutely gorgeous gun. Hope it's just getting broken in and there's no problems.

Nice pistol. Congrats!

I've heard people complain about new pistols being a little gummy or stiff right out of the box. That may have been your problem.

Some guns just don't like certain ammunition. I have a 9 that hates Remington.

Thanks! Even if it is Springfield has a life time warranty so they will take care of the gun no questions asked.

Tried it with 4 different ammos including 2 hollow points and I believe it did it with all except the reloads I used for the last 50. I'm gonna get a different brand for the next time.

Nice looking gun. The light strikes might be due to oil or grease on the firing pin slowing it down. Most likely the gun had some type of preservative oil on it when it left the factory since they don't know how long it will sit on a shelf before it is sold. After shooting it the grease or oil would wear off the firing pin and it would start moving fast enough to strike the primer hard enough.

That would make a lot of sense. I'll be interested to see how it does next time around, and will probably post back if my problem is gone!
